On following day, Quinquagesima Sunday, Bishop Jones confirmed Diana Maines and Deborah Miller and he also received Patrick Maines and Sandra Smith as communicant members of the church. The All Saints Handbell Choir, under the direction of Mr. Greg Bell, provided special music for the occasion. A pot-luck luncheon was held immediately following the service to celebrate the occasion and Bishop Jones’ first visit to the parish.
An Ordination, Confirmations and Receptions in Wilmington, NC

The weekend
of March 2-3, 2019 was an eventful one at All Saints Parish, Wilmington, North
Carolina. The Rt. Rev. Chandler Holder Jones, Suffragan Bishop of the Diocese
of the Eastern United States, ordained Mr. Erik Wade Wilson to the Sacred Order
of Deacons on Saturday, March 2, the Feast of St. Chad, Bishop of Lichfield. The Rt. Rev. David Haines, rector of All
Saints Parish, presented Mr. Wilson to Bishop Jones for ordination. Bishop
Jones preached and celebrated at the service. Music for the occasion was
provided by Mr. Greg Bell, choirmaster and organist of All Saints, and the
parish choir together with guest trumpeter, Mr. Stephen Luck. A reception was
held immediately following the service in the fellowship house, in honor of
Deacon Wilson and his family. The Rev. Mr. Wilson will continue to serve as
Deacon at All Saints and St. Barbara’s Anglican Church, Jacksonville, North
Carolina, as he continues his preparation towards becoming a Military Chaplain.
