The Winter Conference for the Anglican Province of America will be held January 22-25, 2019, in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Holy Trinity Church in Fernandina Beach is the host parish and venue for the conference. The church is located at 1830 Lake Park Dr., Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. The hotel for the conference is the Hampton Inn Amelia Island, a mere seven minutes from the church.

The theme for this year’s conference is Missions in the Local Parish. Presentations and discussions will focus on the mission of the local parish and its effectiveness in the evangelism, outreach, and growth. The conference is open to all APA clergy, deaconesses, their spouses, and other interested parties. An invitation is extended to the clergy and members of our inter-communion partners of the Anglican Catholic Church, the Anglican Church in America, and the Diocese of the Holy Cross.

Registration

Registration is accomplished online. There is no charge for the conference but making a registration is necessary for planning purposes. There is a $7.00 charge for lunch on Thursday during the conference, should you select that option during registration. Please pay when you arrive and pick up your registration materials.

Hotel Reservations

The hotel for the conference is the Hampton Inn & Suites Amelia Island-Historic Harbor Front, 19 South 2nd Street, Fernandina Beach, Florida, 32034. The conference rate is $125.00/night. The hotel is located in downtown Fernandina Beach by the marina and is within walking distance to many excellent restaurants and shopping venues.

Transportation

Jacksonville International Airport is the closest airport, approximately 25 miles from the hotel. Participants are responsible for their own transportation needs from the airport. Holy Trinity Church will provide shuttle service for the participants to and from the hotel in the mornings and evenings.

The conference, as usual, includes Diocese of the Eastern U.S. committee meetings before and after the conference itself. The conference proper begins Wednesday, January 23, with Holy Communion at 5:30 p.m. The conference concludes with a “Travelers’ Mass” on Friday, January 25, at 8:00 a.m. See the schedule below for all events.
