On August 23, 2017, an Anglican Province of America (APA) mission team will travel to Riobamba, Ecuador, to visit the APA’s newest Global Partner (see this article for the establishment of the Ecuadoran work). The team members are the Right Rev’d Chandler Jones, Suffragan of the Diocese of the Eastern U.S., the Very Rev’d David Haines, Vicar General for Global Partnerships, and the Very Rev’d Ralph Waterhouse, Dean of St. Alban’s Cathedral. They will be accompanied by Richard and Karen Todd  and Matthew McBurney of Worthy Endeavors Ministries. Mr. McBurney will be the team’s translator. The team will return home on August 31.

The visit, in part, will be to assess progress in land acquisition, church construction and repair, as well as perform ordinations and provide instruction on various aspects of Anglican faith, practice, and worship.

A Facebook Discussion Group, titled APA Ecuador 2017, has been erected to follow the progress of the team. The group can be accessed by clicking here. You may join the group to engage in the discussions of the trip and to receive updates on your Facebook news feed. The group is public so you may access it at any time if you have a Facebook account.
