Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I hope you had a blessed Christmas Season and that the New Year brings you peace and joy.
This letter is to invite you to attend the 2008 Provincial Synod at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, IL (outside St. Louis). This triennial synod promises to be one of our most memorable and enjoyable. The one-day agenda (beginning at 7am and ending at 8:30 pm) on Thursday, July 24th, is rigorous and makes obvious why you must plan to arrive Wednesday, the day before and leave Friday, the day following. Please go to the provincial website and click on "Provincial Synod 2008" to access your registration options. If you do not have access to the internet, please contact the Provincial Office to request a registration packet. The registration and hotel deadline is May 5, 2008, however do not delay as rooms are limited. The hotel is firm on their deadline and will release any non-reserved rooms to the general public after May 5, 2008.
The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows provides an atmosphere where we can deepen our relationship with God and with each other. We have reserved the entire 78-room hotel and there are off site motels within several miles (in Caseyville). Consider making your reservations early to stay on site for convenience and to take advantage of the beautiful 200-acre campus and all it has to offer.
